About the Anagram Generator

Ever stared at a word and wondered what else its letters could spell? That small itch is why we built this anagram generator — a fast, free way to turn any word, name or phrase into real words.

What it does

The tool takes your letters and checks them against a large dictionary, so every result is a real word. It can find a single word that uses all your letters, or build a whole phrase from several words at once. It works in nine languages and ignores accents, so you can type the easy way.

How it works under the hood

Single-word mode looks for an exact match — every letter used once. Multi-word mode is a bit cleverer. It picks one word, sets aside the letters it uses, then solves what is left, again and again, until all the letters are gone. That is how dormitory becomes dirty room.
